Monday evening was without question a spectacular event! DTM Productions DJs Paul and Sean, along with Sound Connections Jeff Scott Gould worked hard to make the rooms look and sound amazing! Vendors from shoe companies, wine stores, wineries, Saks Fifth Avenue, and other retailers were there offering great deals on Wine, Shoes, Cosmetics, and much more during this special occasion, to help support a great cause and great charity organized by none other than Real Housewife of New Jersey, Dina Manzo and her loyal crew.
Obviously, I was there to help with the music, the setup and the lighting, but I was also able to set up as a wine vendor for Tarasi Wineries. We showed a small selection of the Bodega Carmine Granata wines, and got some great feedback from many of the attendees. As a new brand, Bodega Carmine Granata is slowly becoming a household name for the very popular Carmine Granata Oak Malbec and Pinot Noir, and the interesting, food friendly single varietal Granata Semillon.
I was honored to be a part of this event! It went very well, and there was lots of dancing, drinking, and giving going on! By the end of the night, we had all the women dancing the night away in celebration of such a successful event. Take a look at some of the pics…

Notable Wine Party Episode 2 – The Great Box Wine Debate…
Here it is, finally, the second installment of the Party Episodes recorded at the Drop House studio… I thought this conversation went well since there’s been some debate about whether boxed wine is good or bad… I’m not sure we actually came to a conclusion, you may have to be the judge… We also talk a little about Pinot Noir and how versatile it can be as a varietal, and I throw in a very quick lesson on Malolactic Fermentation…See for yourself! Cheers!
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Stay tuned for a few more installments of the Party Episodes… once they are done…we’ll have to have another party!!! On second thought, why wait?
Also coming soon is the “FINE WINES for LE$$” Column where we will be reviewing some of the best wine values in the world for you…
Wine Tasting Event in Ho Ho Kus 2/26, A Great Success!
Hosted by Waldwick Community Alliance and Maratene’s fine wine and spirits, this event is sure to be a great time for all wine lovers, foodies, and even homebodies who just enjoy a night out every once in a while. I’ll be showing the intriguing wines of Bodega Carmine Granata, and look forward to meeting new people, talking about wine!
Over 100 wines will be available for you to try. And for $45, this is a great opportunity to find out your favorite styles before buying. What a deal! Just make sure someone is being responsible-ible!
The event went very well! I showed up just a few minutes before it began with wine in hand ready to pour… I should’ve had more. People were coming back for the 2008 Carmine Granata Malbec and 2009 Carmine Granata Semillon. It’s good to know I have some excellent wines that are in high demand, I just hope I can keep the supply ;-).
I’m not really sure who won the Mercedes or the other prizes that were being raffled off, but I know that many people had a great chance to try some really nice wines and spend some money for a good cause… I know because I made sure to go around to the other tables.
One of my favorite wines of the night was an interesting Italian wine(of course) called Librandi Duca San Felice Ciro, and the No. 8 Pinot Noir was not bad at all!
