Hello again Notable Wine-ers,
Summer is just a few weeks away and already
we’ve had some very hot days here in New Jersey.
Now if you’re a big fan of red wines, like me,
you know the high heat and humidity don’t always
pair well with your favorite beverage. You have a
barbecue going and a white is just not going to
do it. Is there an answer?
Yes, a delicious full bodied, dry rose! It will go
with anything you serve for dinner, from grilled
vegetables and seafood of all types to light pasta
dishes, salads, chicken, ribs and yes, even steak.
I just purchased a bottle of Chateau de Lancyre 
Pic Saint-Loup 2010 and it is one of the finest rose
wines I have ever tasted. This deep colored, full
flavored rose is made from a blend of 50% Syrah,
40% Grenache and 10% Cinsault grown in the
Languedoc, in the south of France. Lots of fruit
abounds, strawberry and raspberry flavors refresh
the palate, yet it is completely dry. It’s big and
impressive up front, and goes down with an elegant,
soft finish.
If there is a better rose out there anywhere, I want
to know !!
